Clintonville

The township of Clintonville is a large section of Columbus situated just North of downtown Columbus and just South of Worthington. In Clintonville you will find an array of architectural styles including Sears and Roebuck kit homes, Dutch Colonials, 4-squares, bungalows, and Larcombs that were established for affordable housing after World War II. The area has a lot to offer in terms of restaurants, boutique shops, and increasing property values with its proximity to downtown.

Clintonville Attractions

One of the most visited areas of Clintonville is the Columbus Park of Roses, which sits along the Olentangy River and is approximately 13 acres. Here you will find wedding ceremonies, guided tours, and other special events. USA today called it “one of the largest and most celebrated municipal rose gardens in the United States”. Definitely a must see while you are in the Clintonville area!

Clintonville also features some great restaurants and shopping. Local favorites include The Crest, Harvest, Northstar, Houndogs Pizza, and don’t forget to stop by Jenis for dessert! There is also plenty of small shops and boutiques to peruse along the high st corridor.

Education

Clintonville has great proximity to The Ohio State University campus. Many students and
faculty live in Clintonville and enjoy the short commute. The area is also served by Whetstone High School and Columbus Int’l HS (Old North HS).

There is also a number of elementary and private schools located in the township. Some of the
more notable private school are Bishop Watterson High School, Our Lady of Peace, and the Clintonville Academy.
