The Arena District is a 75-acre, mixed-use, development located in downtown Columbus, Ohio. It is characterized by its New Urbanism layout, mixed-use, and neo-classical American design. The architecture is of the Chicago School style, being influenced by Daniel Burnham in particular. The Arena District features a variety of restaurants, office space, entertainment venues and residencies. The neighborhood centers around Nationwide Arena, home of the Columbus Blue Jackets of the NHL. The district is also the site of Huntington Park, the new home for the Triple-A Columbus Clippers.
Additionally, the outdoor music venue Lifestyle Communities Pavilion, as well as the Arena Grand Theater are both located in the Arena District. The Arena District real estate development has also been beneficial for many of the surrounding downtown communities, most notably, the Short North, Italian Village, and Victorian Village areas that border the Arena District real estate options to the North. The momentum for new development has also spilled into areas such as the new Campus Gateway at Ohio State University and the Grandview Yard development. The downtown area seems to be on an upward trajectory for the next few decades, and much of it has to do with the continued success of new Arena District real estate development.

The Buggworks in the Arena District is a personal favorite of Core Ohio’s. Located at 440 West Nationwide Boulevard, the authentic urban lofts are extremely special and rare. The building was once called home by Columbus Buggyworks, the worlds largest builder of horse-drawn buggies. Clearly the demand for their product declined, and the building was…
