The Columbus Commons took the place of what was once a very popular shopping mall known as the “City Center”. Many of the surrounding buildings and parking garages are still intact, but otherwise, the area has completely changed over the last several years. The construction of the Columbus Commons was a huge part of the areas shift towards walkability, modern living accommodations, restaurants, concerts, food truck festivals, and more! The Columbus Commons also features a very popular concert series in the summer with the Columbus Symphony knows as the Picnic with the Pops.

During the holidays you can expect to find an incredible lights display. It is certainly worth the visit to stroll through the Commons and over to the Scioto mile with some hot chocolate or a coffee from Winans. In the warmer months the gardens are spectacular and very well maintained. There will be a variety of people walking their dog, sunbathing, or just enjoying a shaded area with a book.
